Great first day celebrating Katie! We finished the night at Enchanted Roses with a delicious Lavender Fog. I love the setting although I admit that I can’t hear any conversation (I’m nearly deaf in one ear and the background noise roars). Then we dipped our feet in a hot tub, although I really could have used dipping my knee. Maybe in the morning. Now time to get some sleep and tomorrow is food booths!

Got a solid 6 hours of sleep but then needed to wake up to wish my kiddos good luck today. Savannah has ACT and Bri has tennis tonight. So now it’s hot tub time!
I’m the only one in the entire pool area!

Well the pool area may be my new early morning reflection time. 7:00-7:30
I sat in the hot tub watching fog roll over the building with occasional birds soaring above.
The Grand is silent with only an occasional boat horn in the distance and the chirping of birds. I was at one with nature.
8:00 am
The vacationers have awoken. There are delightful screams of excitement from children. A plane just flew overhead. Maintenance carts are rolling all over the property and golf carts are driving around. Fireworks just exploded from the castle and I can hear the music in the park. What a different 30 minutes makes.
But my pool is still empty.
