BOG on MVMCP

Will I be able to eat at BOG at 6:40 without a ticket to MVMCP as long as I leave after eating?

I too would like to know the answer to this!

Nope. Any ADR at BOG beginning at 6:20pm states you must have a party ticket.

There was just a thread about this on the lines chat. Someone talked to a cast member on the reservation line and reported that reservations up until 6:45 would be honored even if you don’t have a party ticket, but you’ll probably be escorted out right after your meal. You might want to do your own due diligence and verify with Disney yourself, but this is what I’d heard on chat.

Yes I will check with Disney. Thank you.

Maybe email and inquiry so you have it in writing.

Is this a new policy? Last November I ate with my sister and her family with a 7:00 PM ADR at Be Our Guest on a Christmas party night when we did not have party tickets. Since we arrived just before 7:00, CMs at the tapstiles warned us the park was about to close (to non-party goers), but seemed to understand when we explained we had dining reservations. Beyond that, we had no trouble getting to or from the restaurant.

Yes it is. It is now printed on the confirmation and when you go to make the reservation for a party night this is what shows:

I just spoke with a Disney CM at reservations who also checked with guest relations to ensure and said that I will be able to eat at the 6:40 reservation time. They did suggest to arrive early and I will be required to leave immediately after. I also have an email inquiry submitted so I can get it in writing.

I am sorry but I would never count on the people that answer the phones. @Wahoohokie posted the official information above and it is included in the email confirmation. We may disagree with the new rules but it is clear they have made changes in response to past complaints .

Yeah I agree that is why I am an email inquiry and I am waiting on a written response from Disney.

Did they change the policy? Two years ago we had a 6:45 CRT on a party night (and did not do the party that particular night). They just escorted us to the park exit after our meal.

Yeah… they never used to warn you in advance, anyway.

I had no idea they’d changed it!

Here is the written response I just received from Disney.

Dear Misty,

Thank you for contacting the Walt Disney World® Resort. We are so sorry for the confusion.

You will be able to enjoy dinner at 6:30. Please understand without an event ticket, you will be expected to leave immediately afterward.

Gotta love that disclaimer!:grinning:

Even with the disclaimer I have gotten the same response three times from Disney so I am pretty confident it is fine as long as we leave after dinner. I am going to the party but on another night and have a CRT reservation that night. I just wanted to be able to keep both and it sounds like it should be ok.
