Blizzard Beach vs Typhoon Lagoon with kids

We are taking a group of 10 for their first visit. There are three kids ages 7,8, and 9. It has been years since I’ve been to either park. Which would you recommend?

Thanks!

Both parks have slides that are only for adults and play areas that are just for kids. So they are on somewhat level playing field.

That said, for my upcoming trip with my kids (7-14) we landed on Blizzard Beach because the family rides at Typhoon Lagoon (specifically the aqua coaster) has a higher height requirement that my 7-year-old wouldn’t be able to ride. Also the wave pool at TL is a bit intense for younger kids, though super fun. (And you can of course wade in the shallower waters if you want.)

You can’t go wrong though, IMO!

I have only been to Typhoon Lagoon, but I had the same question last summer and asked it on this thread. Liners shared some useful links on comparisons and personal opinions - overall my conclusion was the same as Jeff’s: you can’t go wrong with either!

My kids were 8 and 10 and they LOVED TL. The wave pool and the water coaster (specifically the Pineapple Plunger side) were their favorites - they are thrill seekers. We arrived at lunchtime and don’t think we waited for more than 15 minutes for any slide (and many were walk-ons). Good food and snacks too.

I’m excited to explore Blizzard Beach on a future trip, but this summer we’ll do Volcano Bay!

I think the teeming for Blizzard Beach might impress kids even more
