Black Friday - Photo Pass

Does anyone remember anything about last year’s Black Friday Photo Pass Special?
Trying to get a feel for what it might be and when it might be offered. I love the ride photos.

I don’t think they had one last year. I believe I checked.

My Universal Photos Package Presale This is where I have bought packages before. I’m going to look this year to see if they have anything. I’ve gotten a 15 month an 18 month package before with a few print photos included. And it included the shutterbuttons package.

With the photo packages, can you choose which dates to use for downloads after your trip?

Like, it you get a 3-day package, and your trip is 5 park days, can you have photos taken by TMs and automatic ride photos for all 5 days, and then decide later which 3 days to get the downloads from under the package deal?

ETA: I think I just answered my own question by using The Internet™. Looks like the 3 days have to be consecutive, starting with the day of first use.

And am I right that you can’t share a Universal photo package among people who aren’t traveling together, like you can at Disney? Because they give you a single physical card you must use to add photos to the package?

You can share. You just have one login.

You can add many physical cards to the same account. They are the same paper cards you get if you don’t have a package and just want to buy the photo that the photographer just took of you.

How it normally works is you go on the first day and get your photo taken someplace and the photographer hands you the card for the photo. You keep using that card(s) for the rest of the day. This is the important part. You have to link that card to your photopass account before the end of the day, otherwise your photos will be deleted at midnight if they aren’t linked to an account.

Then from then on you can keep using those card(s) and the photos will be automatically added to your account. Every time you use a new card, you just have to go through the bother of linking it to your account.

I think the Universal photopass is nicer because you can get an annual plan, and it isn’t much more than the Universal 30-day or the Disney version.

At Universal, we liked having one photopass card per person. They were handy as barcodes for the lockers.

Oh, thanks for the info!

Does that mean that if you want to share with, say, a couple members of a certain online forum (PURELY HYPOTHETICAL mind you), everyone would have to be physically present the first time you get a photo taken, in order for everyone to get the physical cards?

You can get multiple cards when you activate the pass and pass the extra Cards around later. Ask @darkmite2. I gave him a card for his birthday two years ago.

Great, thanks!

I’m still so grateful! It was a great treat as I used it with my DD later that day! I have a lot of pictures from that trip I wouldn’t have otherwise! :smiling_face_with_three_hearts::smiling_face_with_three_hearts:
