BG1? also order I should follow to purchase LL

Hi all,

Seeing references to this tool, but don’t know what it is exactly or where to find it. I have 3 park days with 4 of us (adults) may 6-10, crowd levels 3, 4, 5. Will purchase LLMP and Ind LL. Should I invest the energy in learning what BG1 is and possibly using it? If so, where and how do I start? We are definitely trying to maximize opportunities for the big rides. Staying onsite.

Also, any advice on the order in which to purchase my LLs?

Check in 5/6, so can purchase 4/29.

5/7 Epcot, GoTG and LLMP

5/8 DHS, RoTR and LLMP

5/9 MK, Tron and 7DMT and LLMP

Thank you!

If you have a subscription, there is a thread on this tool in LaCava. Lots of good info there.

The advice I have been given in the past is you want to push the park with your hardest to get LL’s out as far as possible in your day order. I always visit HS later in the week for this reason. As far as order of LLMP’s, @Jeff_AZ has some excellent info in the lead post in the Lightning Lane Thread under WDW.

The BG1 thread is here.

The first post is the only post you need. It has all the links : to the start up info and videos. If you need help, just ask!

@PrincipalTinker I just re-downloaded BG1 and read through all of the most recent threads. Am I correct in thinking on my 7 days out I have to first use MDE to purchase LLMP and LLSP and then use BG1 to modify times? Also then probably mostly use BG1 while in the park? Also, only use BG1 to try and overlap?

You have to make purchases through MDE. You always purchase LLSP in MDE and at least your first LLMP each day. You can book them all in MDE but after the first one you can use BG1.

I didn’t need to use BG1 for the initial pre-books, but I wasn’t trying to overlap any more than MDE allows.

BG1 mostly is a streamlined interface for LLs versus MDE, so it’s much faster to see and modify/book (post initial purchase), plus it has drop info embedded. There are so many screens when using MDE!

I didn’t use it for my first LL day (Epcot) and I did fine with MDE, but the BG1 interface is much easier imo.
