Best RESORT breakfast (not inside a park)

On an upcoming trip we have an open morning with no park access that day before we head to the airport. So I want to use that time to hit a great breakfast spot at a Resort. We’ve done Chef Mickey before and really liked that and would do it again but think we should try something new this time.

We’ll have a car so we can get to anything from the resort in which we’ll be staying (Caribbean Beach) pretty easily, but if something is accessible by foot or skyliner that would be extra convenient.

So, please recommend your favorite table service/buffet/character breakfast at a resort.
(Please mention restaurant name and resort name to help me find it).

Thanks!

Boma and Trattoria al Forno. I’ve heard good things about Ale and Compass breakfast.

I really love Ale & Compass (at Yacht Club) for value and quality

I really like Topo’s but the price tag is

Boma is similarly overpriced to me, though I love it too

Agreed. We did it as our only character meal of the trip. And budget was not mentioned in the OP!

Right. If budget isn’t an issue I say go for it.
Just meant that’s why I personally don’t prefer it

We’ve loved breakfast at both Ale & Compass (Yacht Club) and Kona Cafe (Polynesian). Ale & Compass is good budget wise as well as @OBNurseNH said.

I agree with Ale & Compass (Yacht Club), love that breakfast! As a family, we also love Boma (AKL - Jambo) and 1900 Park Fare (Grand Floridian). Chef Mickey’s too, but looks like you’ve tried that already.

We haven’t made it to Topolino’s yet, so I can’t comment there.

If Disney Springs in an option, the brunch at Homecomin’ is amazing too!

We have taken Ale & Compass off of our go-to list; lunch and breakfast.

Just not a fan of the revised menu selections.

Used to love it, but it has now been turned into a typical Disney food restaraunt. Meh.

That’s sad to hear. It’s been a couple years since we’ve gone. We really enjoyed it for a late breakfast.

Looking forward to it on part 3/YC part of my trip in June

Topolino’s!
I’m actually thinking how since I saved $100 moving my trip up a week I should go there again!

Will need a report back.

This shrimp and grits was one of the best meals I’ve had at WDW. It was $23, plus you get fruit, pastries and whatever items they have on the buffet. In a place where the food is often overpriced and mediocre, I was impressed with Ale & Compass breakfast.

They changed the menu, significantly. Make sure you review the new menu, lunch and breakfast

I still see dark chocolate waffles as well as shrimp and grits on the breaky menu!

I don’t see many big changes to breakfast, but I do notice the lemon pancakes are not there. Also, I see that you can get kids blueberry pancakes so I’m betting you could get an adult portion made up too

Anyway for my purposes it’s still just right!
