Best Food in Disneyland, DCA, Downtown Disney and Disney-owned Hotels

Great for the A/C. Usually do the chicken nuggets or get a corn dog next door at Stage Door Cafe, sit upstairs. Gets noisy if crowded.

Just what Nay said. It’s been years since I was there. I want to say the Hilly Billy’s used to play there? Nice and Big though as I remember. Food was pretty good too. Hope your enjoying your trip!!

Haven’t eaten at the Horseshoe since the classic “Review” closed. It was never about the food; you went for the show and the food was an “extra”.

Went to Cafe Orleans when we were out there and OMG the three cheese monte cristo had to be one of the best things I ever ate. (husband got the traditional one and he loved it as well).

Seriously, we were flying home that day so couldn’t take leftovers with us and we were so sad. At about 10 that night, while waiting for the plane I looked over and said to him, what would you do for that sandwich right now. I got a very dirty look.

LOVE the CO Monte Cristo, It’s my new “go to” dinner at DL now that BB has gone over the top expensive.

Steakhouse 55 is exquisite, along with the price, but amazing, just ask Vince Neil, he didn’t even look at the menu when ordering!

Lobster Salsa at the bar behind Ariel’s Grotto is very tasty.
Mickey shaped beignet’s are delicious for breakfast at Cafe Orleans.
I’ll second the skewers at bengal cafe.
and no mention of Club 33? (I have never been, but so beg for the chance)

What’s new in DLR/DCA dining? I’ve read through this thread, but I know some things have changed, I.e., Hungry Bear no longer has the fried green tomato sandwich.
We’ll be at DLR next week, and I would welcome recommendations.

I updated the post with a few things. There’s not really any new must try items in my opinion. If anything they’ve actually removed some good entrees (like the fried green tomato sandwich).

Nice roundup of 12 DLR restaurants in the Orange County Register today:

The description in the iPhone app for Paradise Pier Grill says they do burgers and chicken bits, but I am there now and it’s definitely skewers and gyros.

Weird, not sure why the description from the website didn’t carry over. Anyway, the selections field is fixed. Thanks.

As a Los Angeles resident I can say that Napa Rose is a destination restaurant for area residents and visitors coming just for Dinner.

Reading through this list, as a LA resident and a semi regular DL visitor, I have never had a problem getting into places to eat in DL, Cal. Adventure or Downtown Disney (except Blue Bayou) Sure they can be packed at certain times and seating difficult at counter service spots but its usually ok if you come back to it an hour later. My favorite spot in DL is the Blue Bayou. It’s the setting. Located in an side street in New Orleans Square between Pirates and Haunted Mansion, you do need to make a reservation. From the host desk you are escorted to your table which is on an “outdoor” patio of a two story home that sits along side a river. This restaurant is actually inside Pirates and across the water you can see the rides boats quietly going by and watch fireflies flitter through the Spanish moss. A huge tree hung with lanterns hangs over the patio and the detailing of the two story house you are next to is pretty great. From the pirates ride you can see this restaurant and house as you ride past on your way to the pirates caves. The food is not too bad and I understand the prices have shot up, but it is the immersive theming from the ride perspective and the restaurant perspective that make this a very special place.
