Who: Me, DW, DS15, DD13, fellow band people

When: Arrive in Orlando Friday 2/24 10:50am, Depart Monday 2/27 6:45pm

How: Flying out of BWI (SW) with all airport transfers by charter bus

Where: Staying at Cabana Bay Beach Resort

What: 4 day, 2-park, park to park tickets

Why: School band tradition to take an Orlando parks trip every 4 years :trumpet: :drum:

Hey friends! Thanks for checking in with me (and the gang) on our long weekend trip to Universal. Our group is 35 people total, 21 are band kids plus other parents and the director. DW is one of the five chaperones, so she will lead a group of kids. DS & DD will be in other groups with friends, so I may be jumping around between groups. The marching performance is Saturday morning around 10:00 through the streets of USF. Our goal is to give the band kids the best experience possible, as some of them may never visit again.

I really appreciate anyone following along. I enjoy sharing details and hope to post lots of photos! :roller_coaster: :circus_tent: Gotta be at the school at 3:45am, so I better get some sleep. Universal here we come! :sun_with_face:

I have many fond memories of band trips! We even performed at Epcot back when it was newish. Have a great time!!

Of course, when we went on our band trip to FL we had to ride a charter coach bus for 33 hours. No flying on those fancy aero planes! Lol.

Yep, the marching band theme last fall was The Greatest Showman music.

Got 4.5 hrs sleep so I am good to go :+1:
