Hi everone, it’s been a long time since I’ve been on the forum, and I’ve missed it. Been so busy with kids going to college etc.
I wasn’t sure where to put my question about Aulani but it didn’t fit in in categories like WDW so I put it here.
I’m taking my oldest to Hawaii for a grad trip (delayed, he’s already in college). We’re still deciding which Hawaiian island to visit but we must book asap b/c we’re going mid May, stopping halfway in LA for a concert and to visit family. We’re on the east coast so will break up the long flights by going to LA. Timing was decided by when college ends and when that concert is. It’s The Prodigy and they rarely come to the US, but they’re doing 2 concerts in LA in May.
So, we don’t have time to island hop at all. It’s probably 3 days in LA and maybe 5 in Hawaii. He’s still deciding which island to go to, but if he chooses Oahu, Aulani is there and I’d really like to see it. He already vetoed it as a resort to stay at, and I agreed, b/c I didn’t want to be that overcrowded.
But I read that you can go have a meal and go to the stores at Aulani and that interests me.
What are the odds of being able to book a sit down meal there if you aren’t staying? And, if that’s difficult, what about just table service? I’m not feeling super particular, I’d just like to get a feel for what Aulani is like. I never imagined I’d be going to Hawaii. I did try to test out doing a dining res but it was too early.
