Hi,

I saw in the touring plans estimated park hours that MK was closing at 7 that night. Is there a private event?

Probably a party night since those start in August.

I have been wondering about that too, because it’s not a MNSSHP night (and the time would be wrong for it anyways) and it doesn’t seem like they would have MK AH events during party season. Some other sites don’t have the 7pm closing time so I too was hoping someone here would know!

I noticed that too. Kinda bummed. I was trying to do MK fireworks that night :expressionless:

Hopefully It’s not an early closing but I guess time will tell.

Parties in August are Sunday, Tuesday and Friday. This date is a Thursday.

I hope it’s a typo! We have a planned vacation then, and are already disappointed that there’s an extra party that week (compared to last year) which will limit MK availability at night. They can’t have early close at MK on a Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Sunday all in one week - can they?

Last night I emailed Touring Plans through their contact us page, asking if there was a private event scheduled for 8/21 at MK or some other reason why they had the closing hours listed as 7pm. They responded right away that they were updating the predicted hours for that day, because it would be very unusual for MK to close at 7pm on a non-party day in August. The crowd calendar has been updated to predict a 10pm close that day. Great news!

I also appreciate how quickly someone at TP responded. I submitted the question around 10pm last night, and someone emailed me back late last night! I wasn’t expecting such a quick response.

I looked on the MDE app this morning to check the hours for 8/21, to see if MK had an early close as TP originally predicted. For some reason, it says “schedule unavailable” for that day. Anyone know if this is normal?

I saw that too. I have no idea why it says that. It’s so strange

I hope it’s not closing early this day… it’s the only night time MK night for my trip!!!

I understand! If MK closes early on 8/21, we will likely move our trip since there are so many early closes that week (between parties and HS on 8/16). I don’t look at the MDE calendar that much, but I don’t recall ever seeing this message for a day before. Makes me nervous!

Disney updated the app. It’s a 10pm closing! Thank goodness.
