AoA Family Suite Room Request

We have a generic family suite booked at Art of Animation this upcoming September. Ideally, I’d love to be placed in Nemo or Cars with a room overlooking the courtyard/pool.

What are your favorite Nemo and Car room numbers?

Have you tried the search features of the TouringPlans room finder?

I have! I don’t have a specific room in mind, but looking at the map, we’d love a room on any floor in Building 3 or 4 facing the courtyard/pool in that wing closest to the lobby. (Building 4 would be odd rooms, 01-13 and Building 3 would be odd rooms 27-39)

What would be the easiest way to make that request? Pick a room on TP and then add that verbiage in the notes section?

Each theme is it’s own bookable category so it would be good to identify which one you have booked, and then use the Touring Plans Room Finder to find your favorite room in that theme/category

Of course, for a bit of savings you can book the “be assigned a theme on arrival” category of rooms. Of course if you booked that I’m not sure a request would be considered but couldn’t hurt to try, using the same tool

Probably this would be easiest, yes. The less rigid you are about your room choice, the more likely you are to be satisfied. That is to say, if you ask for room 5308 but get 8119, you’re probably going to be unhappy. But if you ask for Bulding 3 or 4, courtyard view, any floor they have much more to work with and you’ll probably find you are happy with the result as well

@OBNurseNH is a virtuoso when is comes to Room Requests, so definitely go with this verbage. I believe that the recommendation is to submit the request a week before arrival but let’s see what she says.

FYI … TouringPlans is working on a new set of selection criteria for the Room Finder that will match what the Disney cast members actually use. To follow along on that project you can visit *NEW* We're updating the Hotel Room Finder and need your help - #69 by Magicalday2011

They also have a generic “any theme” category. Who knew?!?This is from WDW’s site.

When you make your TP request, in the notes section, I’d write exactly that. You may also note “If that isn’t available, any room in the Nemo or Cars section with a room overlooking the courtyard/pool would be fantastic”.

I find that the broader the request, the more likely my requests are met.

We have the generic “Family Suite” booked, so I’ll request Building 3 or 4, room facing courtyard, wing closest to lobby, any floor! Thanks for all of your help!

Room request has been sent through TP! In the notes section, I wrote: “We’d love a room on any floor in Building 3 or 4 facing the courtyard/pool in that wing closest to the lobby. (Building 4 would be odd rooms, 01-13 and Building 3 would be odd rooms 27-39)”

We will see where we end up!
