Hello! We’re taking our youngest to Universal on his graduation trip next week. We’ve been to Universal twice before, but always booked through a friend who was a travel agent. That friend retired, so I ended up looking around on my own and booked a decent deal through Costco travel. I have an email with all my confirmation numbers, and I’ve read that I’ll get another email this week about the actual park tickets. However, every time I go into the Universal app and put the hotel confirmation number into it, it tells me it can’t find my reservation. I also booked a one night stay at a cheaper resort for our arrival night through booking.com, and the app doesn’t like that number, either. Finally, I’d like to buy one day of Epic Express Pass for us while we’re there (we’re staying at Royal Pacific for the package, so we won’t need it other than that), but I can’t figure out how to do that without the ticket information. Maybe that needs to wait until I get the ticket email?
I’d appreciate any input from anyone who has booked similar packages! I just want to be sure I have everything set before we leave next week. Thanks in advance!
Whenever I have bought Express Pass it has been completely separate from the ticket and didn’t need me to have the ticket in hand prior to purchasing. At least that’s what I thought.
For your Costco woes, I would call the number and have someone assist you. Make sure you are providing the Costco confirmation to Costco and the Universal confirmation number to Universal. I have booked rental cars through Costco and they label the two confirmation numbers clearly in the email, so presumably the same is true for park tickets.
We had 2 rooms booked in May I could only ever see one of them. I called Universal to confirm and even they said the site has issues. I would give them a call just to confirm to help ease your mind.
EXP is a separate ticket and you don’t need anything to purchase. I bought our EXP before we even had tickets because they tend to raise in price as it gets closer.
For Royal Pacific, try entering your confirmation directly in the hotel web page:
First click “My Reservations” if you don’t see the form. Then enter your last name and the confirmation number from your email. This way always works for me (you can get the link to this page in your confirmation email if my link isn’t working).
Thank you, everyone! We are so used to Disney that we leaned heavily on our TA friend, and now we’re realizing how little we knew. This is all very helpful!
