ADRs only bookable through first resort stay despite continuous Disney hotel bookings – advice?

Hi all,

I’m running into an issue with ADRs and hoping someone here has navigated something similar.

We’re traveling to Disney World this August and have a continuous stay from August 7 to August 23, all at Disney-owned resort hotels. However, instead of one long reservation, our trip is split into four consecutive 4-night bookingsat different resorts.

All reservations are back-to-back, no gaps, and all made directly through Disney. Today (June 8), at 6:00 AM Eastern Time (60 days out), I tried to make our dining reservations. But the system only lets me book ADRs through August 11 – the end of our first reservation.

As a Disney Resort Guest, I expected to be able to make dining reservations for the entire trip (up to 10 days) starting from our first check-in day. It seems the system isn’t recognizing the consecutive resort stays as one continuous stay.

Has anyone dealt with this before?

Did you manage to get it fixed – maybe by calling, linking the reservations manually, or requesting help through the My Disney Experience app?

Would love to hear your tips or success stories. Thanks so much in advance!

This is how I understand it to work. The workaround would be a “fake” reservation for the entire trip length which you can then cancel once you’ve reached 60 days out from your last booking.

I agree with @gingerSnaps543222 . Although LLs can be booked across split stays, dining and “extra” reservations are made separately for each resort stay.

Ugh sorry. Like others said, this is “normal” functionality which is dumb but doesn’t help you!

Thanks so much for the quick replies and info, everyone!

It’s definitely frustrating, but I appreciate the confirmation that this is “normal” behavior (even if it doesn’t feel very guest-friendly). I’m relieved to hear that Lightning Lanes should work across the split stays — that’s honestly more important to us than the ADRs.

Thanks again!

To expand on this based on excellent work by @Jeff_AZ . See The Lightning Lane Thread! All WDW Info Here

  • For on-site guests, LLs can begin to be purchase at +7 days
  • Based on emperical testing, the purchase window will span multiple contiguous split stays for up to 14 days (not the full 16 days of your stay)
  • Multiple LL related items for a given day can be purchased / booked the within the same transaction. Each day is handled in a separate transaction.
