Edited: this applies only when the ticket is wholly unused, which is the case here. If even one day has been used, no dice (but I would still ask because you never know)

That’s official policy but I’ve heard of cast members doing good by people who had bad circumstances pop up (e.g. COVID) and give them a credit for unused days. It’s not guaranteed by any means, but it never hurts to ask. (Just like they’ll often waive the hotel cancellation penalty if you call in and rebook).
