I have read a few things about changes to AKL and Poly. I believe they are saying the Poly has the most differences:

I thought a few years ago when they tried to do this they had to change it back?
I believe I read they might be adjusting some views to keep the point totals the same?

Yes the pool definitely needs to stay the same. I believe one of the arguments last time was “I was promised if I bought to book a studio at this resort, I may have to change the season but I can always book a studio at some point for this many days”. I don’t know Disney ever said that was true?

This was my first thought, are they increasing the per room cost but making more rooms “resort view” and thus keeping the overall total points the same?

I guess one side effect is this makes it easier to get a resort view room, and also makes it more likely you’ll get a partial view when booking resort view?

Good point! I just wish they would allocate points away from 1-bedrooms someday!

There have been some complaints about certain rooms that had a more premium view catagory and a most basic view. So downgrading those rooms makes sense.
