2026 Points Charts

Has anyone posted any chatter about these yet?

I glanced quickly at BWV and they have reallocated some points across seasons. I was just curious if any groups had done an in depth analysis.

Most of what I’ve seen have talked about the re-designation of “standard” view to “resort view” - as has been happening at all resorts.

There was also initially some disquiet about apparent movement of dates into higher rate seasons in April, but that is simply the result of Easter falling later this year.

I saw a post on DVC Fan that someone was looking at the BWV charts. I think it was that the lowest point nights are higher (there are no 9 point nights). I did not see if the analysis was completed.

That was definitely the first thing that I noticed. The 9 and 10 point nights are up to 10 and 11.

2025 Easter is really frustrating because it is so late and it moved the New England “spring break” time into Easter season.

Is this just a name change? I would have a hard time thinking that a parking lot view is a resort view!

I guess they specifically think that the parking lot is a vital part of the resort! Sounds like they have moved partial savanna rooms into the Savanna view as well.

“Value accommodations include a smaller floor plan but similar views as Resort view. Resort view includes views of other areas of the resort, such as parking areas. Savanna view includes a view of one of the Savannas. Kilimanjaro Club Concierge includes at least a partial views or the pool or one of the Savannas.”

Yes, just sounds better!

It doesn’t apply to Saratoga, since the standard and preferred refer to location not view.

There may be others like that.

I didn’t get a change notice for my CCV booking. The CCV studios are either walk in shower or tub bookings, not views.

This is what has never made sense to me.

Let’s say I purchased 100 points, to use on 10 10-point nights.
Now my nights would cost me 110 – and I didn’t think that was supposed to happen where you couldn’t afford to use your points to take the same vacation .

I know they can move points around, but I would be curious about this, even though it would be math way beyond my brain’s ability to comprehend

I haven’t had this notification email for any of my upcoming stays either.

This is 2026 though, so I don’t think anyone has 2026 bookings yet?

I feel like this part of the reason for the fixed weeks. Like if you want a guarantee you need to book a fixed week. Otherwise I feel like I’ve always been told that the points can move around to some extent so that DVC (in “your” best interest) can maintain balance between the rooms/seasons. I know they have moved points from summer to fall in the past.

But why have some people gotten emails?

Ok no idea! Maybe only some resorts had the changes.

I don’t see anyone on here say that they’ve had an email, have they?

The points charts have been published. That’s what started the discussion.

Not sure where you got that from.

Quite long ago now they rejigged the charts to increase the points for the weekend to encourage people to book midweek.

They can adjust seasons too.

The points for the whole year cannot change, so they have to balance the increases and decreases. Also you have to look at 2-beds, not studios or 1-beds (because of the lock-off premium).

OK, did some looking.

Some people have got emails about their room category being changed for up-coming bookings.

So the renaming must be happening sooner. Boardwalk is one resort where people have got emails.

Yes. I received such an email…although my room category name hasn’t changed in MDE as the email suggested it would, so I was confused by the purpose of the email.
