A band doesn’t have to have any of the original members as long as the band continually existed and passed the torch along the way.
For example, Cool Band has original members A, B, and C. A few years later A quits, replaced by D. B dies, and is replaced by E. Eventually D leaves, replaced by F. And then C retires, replaced by G.
Cool Band is still Cool Band. Never stopped being so. But it is now made up of members E, F, and G.
But there’s almost always one consistent person who holds the rights to the name of the band. So said person needs to be involved, somehow, or that band can’t exist with that name.
Not really true. At least not in all situations. For example, my parents have been fans of The Four Freshman since they were young. No one in the group today is original at all, and in fact all the original members have died…but it is still The Four Freshman, and not simply a cover band. They even put out original songs from time to time. The legal bits I am not sure of, other than there is probably ownership by a record label or some kind of thing like that.
I have never been to these concerts, but there is a specific band I am pretty excited to see and am now dreaming of a short trip to make it happen. How busy are the concerts? Any chance that if I came down to see someone I wouldn’t be able to due to overcrowding (looks like they are playing for 1 night, three different times). Any other tips or tricks?
I definitely think some of the bands (do tell, we won’t judge!) will constitute lines and others won’t. You can definitely hear and sort of see from outside the theater so it depends on what you want your experience to be. If you definitely want to see a particular band, I would get a dining package or be prepared to wait over 30 minutes in line.
Bacillos! I had no idea that they played at Epcot and I am just giddy thinking about it. It is definitely dance music, so I also wonder about how any people come out to see them and if there is space to move around a bit. Any way of knowing what past years have been like for their concerts (looks like they aren’t a “new” group)
