Your Thoughts: Planning Our Early August Trip (9 nights at CBR)

75 days out and we are getting excited! We’ll be at Caribbean Beach for 9 nights in early August. We have 8-day park tickets and I’m having so much fun planning for our kids’ first trip to WDW.

We added Park Hopper to get the free Dining Plan promotion, so we’ll have lots of flexibility during the hot August days.

Here’s what I’ve got so far:

Arrival Day: Typhoon Lagoon or Blizzard Beach if flight gets in on time
Day 1: AK / Boardwalk or Park Hop
Day 2: MK / Pool / MK
Day 3: HS / Pool / HS
Day 4: Pool / Rest Day / Disney Springs or Park Hop
Day 5: EPCOT / Pool or Stay / EPCOT
Day 6: Rest or Park / Hoop Dee Doo / MK
Day 7: Park Hop for favorites
Day 8: Park Hop for favorites
Departure Day: Breakfast / Pool / Fly Home

I like that we’ve got a lot of time and a lot of flexibility built in here. We’re not planning to buy Lightning Lane if we can help it, but I’d love to hear the wisdom on here about that.

Let me know what you think!

I am guessing that since you are staying at a moderate, that the free dining you got was the quick service plan. Thanks to a CM telling me that it was an option, we upgraded to DDP with one table service meal and one quick service meal. We were able to use it for lots of character meals for our granddaughters who were 8, 6, and 2 at the time.

Just an idea.

I think you have enough days to make it work. Unpopular opinion, but I loathe the LL system. Just seems like most times I purchased it, the wait times were low. Especially at MK.
My strategy is - rope drop, stay late, ride during fireworks, or skip the ride altogether. If the rest of your traveling party is down, I say go for it.
