“You’re going to Disney AGAIN?” (A live trip report!)

Omg I was so worried I’d have to turn in my liner card. I wasn’t sure if I should’ve put my name in at like 8am. Huge relief!

If you want first table you line up at 10:40ish. If you’re good with waiting/later you ask at the hostess stand. In both cases you can specify indoors, outdoors, or first available :relaxed:

Several of us were having that problem last week or we’d get a message saying it couldn’t upload at this time. Lots of other glitches and posting errors too.

Ahhhh the sacred spaces. Watching the boats go by, waiting for our drinks and bowls.

That spot on the bridge you’re looking at was a birth center last weekend :joy:

I loooooove seeing his face when he’s at Disney. It’s the BEST. (He’s one of my all-time favorite humans)

PSA: if you haven’t taken the detour to go watch the Galapagos tortoises, you’re missing out. Apparently they’re only 7 years old! They are indeed as slow moving as you’d think.

Scary!

Some tree porn for @OBNurseNH :slightly_smiling_face:

Kite tails was kinda cute. Not so much Disney’s most polished show… but the kites were fun.

Now we’re on our way back to CC for some napping and swimming (the former for Keith, the latter for me).

These pics have me

Even if that’s how it’s supposed to go (and I hear that it is), it should not be how it’s supposed to go.

Omg they crash-land them SO dramatically, too. We were in the section near EE, where they land Pumba and grownup Simba, and they literally plop them right onto the stands or into the water. It’s hilarious.

AK is such a lovely park. We rode zero rides, but I (we; I think Keith agrees) had a perfect morning. The line for safari was a 35+ estimated wait, according to Lines, and it was fairly steamy, so we skipped it. We’ll go on it in a couple days. We walked the gorilla trail, all in the trails around the Tree, and had a leisurely lunch and cocktail at the Sacred Spaces™️. Watching animals and wandering around looking at all the amazing details Disney does is just as enjoyable as when I put us on Hannah’s Death March of Fun.

Now I have to motivate myself to put on my bathing suit and go find a shady spot near one of the pools. But maybe a smol nap first…

Sounds like a perfect day so far!

Ok friends: Can I crowdsource you? Two questions:

  1. We are going to see if somehow miraculously there’s an opening for the dessert party tonight. But if we can’t get in (likely, I think), where should we stand to watch the fireworks?

And

  1. Where should we grab a bite to eat for dinner in MK? We aren’t dining inside this trip, so it’s all QS for us.
