This year’s special was performances from prior years. I’m curious: who are the attendees? Is this usually a separated ticketed event?
No it’s not a separate ticketed event- they record during normal park hours. Usually the Disney news outlets post when the recording is supposed to happen when it gets closer. I believe the Christmas Day special will have more current segments this year.
In 2019, the various stage show performances were done using off-duty CMs to be the crowd, not park-goers.
