DS is all about experiencing things with his people so he doesn’t actually like SR most of the time. Which is funny because we are both introverts and spend a lot of time not actually talking.
This seems to be lost in the shuffle. I think the HS to EP to HS plan is doable, but it is a lot packed into 1 day. Is your son going have the time to explore WS without the same time pressure he felt on family trips? If a more relaxed touring of WS is a high priority, I’d consider RD HS then hop to EP (and skipping the return to HS and F!).
Yeah, he is my slow down and savor it kid so this is important. You are right. He always says our local amusement park has lots of rides. Only disney has disney.
I think the plan of starting in GE and then hopping to EP is what we are going with. And then we will decide if we want to hop back to HS for F!. That way he can set the pace in WS knowing that it’s his choice to move along so he can catch Fantasmic or take it slower and stay at EP. If I happen to pick up a late SDD on a drop I can release it back into the wild and make someone happy.
Sounds like a great plan!
As much as I love SDD, I would get more joy out of being with my kids while they explored an area of WDW the way they wanted to explore than the joy I would get out of a ride on SDD. Though I realize some folks would go so far as to trample their own kids for an extra ride on SDD
We all have our own priorities.
Yeah. This is a super last minute trip because my grown ass adult son said “mom, we should go to Harry Potter. And Disney. Just me and you so we can explore. Can you get a couple of days off this month?” Certainly not saying no to that.
