Will they let us in with this? I dont think so but thought I'd ask. It folds flat and easily fits in the backpack. Unfolded about a 1 foot qube

50 50 chance of being asked what you need to bring it in for. What will it be used for is the question. Is it a step stool seat? They definitely will make you take it back or leave it if that is the case.

If itā€™s in your backpack they might. I have a collapsible cane I bring, sometimes, in my backpack. I just have my bag searched

Thanks. As I suspected. Yes I would use it as a little stool. The DL guidelines say no folding ā€˜chairsā€™ - I suppose a stool can be considered a chair.

Interestingly, we got that at the worldā€™s fair in Shanghai (2010). They were everywhere. We took our girls to HKDL that trip - their only DL visit (til Tuesdayā€¦).

Iā€™m pretty sure canes are allowed because they are considered medical devices. However, I have one that has a stool on it and I donā€™t think it would be allowed (I may have read that on a forum somewhere). Thatā€™s one reason we get the ECVs is because I do so much better when I can sit for a bit.

Hmmm I think I saw someone with a stool cane and thought yo myself, ā€œI wish I had one of thoseā€. I know some walkers have seats too

Canes are allowed. Just not the kind with the round seat attached. In our group of liners there is the kindest couple who are die hard amusement park goers. Disneyland was the only place that hassled the wife for using her seat. She has DAS and obviously needs it. RD in DCA one morning we are waiting off to the side so she can discreetly sit and here comes a CM loudly barking No stool chairs!! Safety!! Causing a scene  The wife explained why she used the cane,CM rudely suggested she get a scooter. She said no sheā€™d rather leave. He started to escort her out of the park with the crowd booing him. She was actually going to leave the park :pensive: Thank goodness a caring CM stepped in and got a higher up who let her stay with the cane. But with a promise not to use the seat :pensive:

Iā€™m so sorry this happened to your friend. This is why Iā€™ve not brought mine. DH needs the ECV too so we just get two.

Iā€™m waiting for my reservation at Lamplight and saw someone holding this ā€œchairā€. I thought of you

It folds up and looks like a cane with two thick legs. I forgot to take a picture of it folded up. But you can bring this into the parks. I need one right about now!

How did they get that in? That shouldnā€™t be allowed. Maybe they just had a bad security person?

Nope. She brings it in every time.

maybe itā€™s the difference between DL and WDW criteria?

What was the conclusion about Disney not allowing ADA approved devices? They allow walkers w/ seats, why not a cane w/ a seat? Can they legally not allow that?
