I have tried Port of New Orleans a number of time and like it. The sit down restaurant is there and shopping. Unofficial Guide likes the French Quarter better and I wonder why.
It’s smaller so all the rooms are close to food court, lobby, pool. Less people, less chaotic, quieter. Only one bus stop. If you have to share buses with Riverside (which we only did twice in 2 weeks) you’re first in and first off. And obviously you can walk over to Riverside so you’re not missing out on the TS restaurant. It has a decent sized shop of its own, though not quite as big as at Riverside.
