Its like being on the west coast and being completely disoriented that the water is to the wes because I was an east coaster all my life.
Then you go to WA and the sound can be in any direction depending on where you are!

Nope. I live near mountains and whatās a compass?
I think itās your moral compass
I never realized how much I depend on the sun subconsciously to know where I am at until I took my son to Toronto. I wandered around, but with the buildings so tall, I had little sense of where the sun was. At night it was even worse. I, on more than one occasion, found I had gone a good half mile in the wrong direction before I realized I was now in the completely wrong district!!!
I was directionless the coupla months I was in WA state, between Seattle and Tacoma, waiting on a granddaughterās appearance. Too much cloud cover.
The recent posts here about being turned around at Epcot have reminded me of a story about a mountain man who was asked if heād ever gotten lost. His answer: no but I was powerfully confused once for 3 months. ![]()
I havenāt used a printed map is several years. Honestly I donāt even use the MDE maps very often. I too have a great sense of direction and remember the route very easily. If I drive somewhere once, maybe twice if itās not an area Iām familiar with, I can usually get there again with no map or GPS.
What is THAT used for?
Itās just @Jeff_AZ ās baseline function
And the water can be north, south or west! (Rarely eastā¦)
