I love King Fergus because, well, Billy Connolly!!
Similarly, I love Big Daddy from The Princess and the Frog mostly because it’s John Goodman.

You’ve just named two movies I haven’t seen.
John Goodman does Pacha, though!

(And you are still not sleeping. )

Maybe we need to sing trust in me to get her to sleep?

He was terrible! Absentee father, just comes around to tell Bambi to buck up. Literally.

Another vote from me for Mufasa!

Monsieur Jacques Paganel. He’s a father figure of sorts. It’s his joie de vivre that makes him great.

Best Dad Ever, especially when he becomes a Black Lab! Best Dog Ever. Probly why I don’t have any dog but black labs. Although Chocolate Lab is the sh*t.

He didn’t allow her to trade. She offered and the Beast made the final decision. Maurice screams, “No, Belle! I won’t let you do this!”

And Maurice IMMEDIATELY sets out to rescue her.

Beauty and the Beast is my favorite animated so I’ll go with Maurice. He seemed to have had to encourage his daughter to read and think for herself in a time and place where that was looked down upon.

This is too easy.

LOL! I thought the same thing when I saw the title of the thread! They usually do kill off one or both parents.
