Which night for MK fireworks?

I am trying to pick a night to see fireworks at MK. There are a couple of night that are a crowd level 2. One of them is an extra evening hours which we don’t qualify for. Are those nights more crowded? Should I pick a non extra hour night?

I think the fireworks are ALWAYS crowded. No avoiding it, no matter which day you pick, methinks.

Probably so. Especially if you’re there during party season August-December. The nights without parties are always extremely busy.

I’d avoid the one with extra evening hours. The crowd calendar is determined by attraction wait times from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.; deluxe resort guests that qualify from extra evening hours will likely have parkhoppers, and will come in from other parks after that time and drive up the foot traffic in the park, especially around the hub during fireworks time.

It is important to get there (to the hub area) early. We were at the hub more than 30 minutes early, and about 30 minutes (or more…forget exactly) ahead of time, there was a public announcement that the Hub was filled to capacity and they weren’t allowing any more people on Main Street nor the hub. We had a group standing next to us that was on the phone with some of the group, but their group couldn’t make it through (CMs weren’t allowing people through).

Not sure how common that is…but it was our experience back in March. (It was the first time we had tried to watch the MK fireworks in a great many years.)

Thanks for the advice! We will choose a non-extra hours night so we can also shop for awhile after official closing.
