Where is your favorite place to stay for one night before our DVC rental begins? Unable to add-on one night to our current ressie. Looking for a hotel with a nice pool as we will have most of the day there and do not plan to go to the parks, want to stay offsite (not interested in POP/allstars), and hoping to spend $250 or less. Family of 4 and we will have a car. Willing to consider hotels or residence-type hotels. Also plan to visit DTD that day and/or mini golf if that helps!

We usually stay at Port Orleans Riverside. Has nice pool, great food court and yehaw Bob. You can take boat to Disney Springs. Rooms are nice and has great atmosphere.
Although I know you said off site I agree with @ezed62. You can get a room at POR for close to $200 most nights (sometimes much lower). Great pool, plus quiet pools, fishing, boat to Disney Springs.
For Off-site, the Caribe Royal has an awesome pool (large "swim-through waterfall and water slide) and nice rooms. And if you want to go to DS, it’s VERY close. The Embassy Suites on Kyng’s Heath Rd is all suites, has a free FULL breakfast, and free evening happy hour. It has a pool, but nothing spectacular. It’s about 10 min from World Center Drive gate.
