When will we know? (Two reservations, same resort)

So, as of right now, I have a reservation for Boardwalk Villa DVC rental for Dec. 1 to Dec. 8.

I also have a room-only standard reservation for Boardwalk Villa (same room type, but not DVC) for Dec. 8 to Dec. 9.

Now, we HOPE and expect that Disney will leave us in the same room.

But when, exactly, will we know if they actually will do this? At least with our recent stay at Pop, we didn’t actually know our room assignment until day off check in. Does this mean that we might not know if we’re in the same room until December 8?

We actually want to plan the day…but what we do will depend upon whether we actually need to change rooms or not (since it involves packing things up, dropping luggage off at Bell services, and then picking it all back up later).

You won’t know for sure until at least check-in of the first stay. You’ll want to mention it at the front desk upon check-in/arrival.
