When to eat at Akershus?

I am hoping to get an Akershus breakfast reservation. We are on the DDP and I would prefer to use just one credit for the experience. I am trying to figure out the best time to do this meal.

Option 1: On our EPCOT day. My concern is doing it in the morning will mess with our attempts to hit the rides early to hopefully get shorter lines. We are also going to be there in August so on other park days am planning our TS meal around 1ish to give us a break from the heat.

Option 2: I got the 4 days get 2 free deal so we have 6 park day tickets. We really only need 5 but it was cheaper to do this deal than do the 5 day ticket. We have two waterpark days (not our arrival day). On one of these days I thought about going to EPCOT and doing the Akershus breakfast and then going to the waterpark. Downside is that would pot us at the waterpark more in the afternoon and I know it is more likely to rain.

Which option do you like best? Or any other suggestions?

You don’t have a lot of good options, but I would go late on your Epcot day so you can rope drop something. I’m not too familiar with Akershus or its hours … the only thing I know is that the non-breakfast menu looks gross.:rofl:

If you can get into Akershus early enough on your water park day to get to the water park as close to 10am as possible, you won’t have lost too much time.

We’ve had dinner at Akershus and loved it (both the food and the princess experience)! But given your preferences for touring and the Dining Plan, I think I would book the latest possible breakfast time on your Epcot day, and then rope drop a couple of rides before and treat the meal more as the brunch/early lunch stop. There are SO many good snacks in Epcot that you can eat in the afternoon if you get hungry again before dinner.

The water park day also sounds entirely doable to me though. We did TL last July after our DCL trip and got there right before noon. We had no issues finding sun loungers or riding attractions - the longest we waited for any slide was around 15 minutes and many (including the water coaster) were a walk on so my kids rode 9 times in a row. We did all of the slides, went in the wave pool twice, did one loop on the lazy river and had both lunch and snacks, and still left before 6pm. It drizzled a bit while we were on the lazy river, but it didn’t bother us.

I forgot to specify that it looks gross to me. I am a picky eater.

 The menu is definitely Norwegian inspired. We are not picky eaters and very happy with it - but I suspect it’s actually more accessible to picky palates than it sounds on paper. And it’s served family style, which helps everyone find something to like.

It looks like breakfast is served until 12:10! I would just do a 11:45 or so breakfast reservation then on your EP day. Going on your WP isn’t bad either because it says it opens at 8:30. If you can get that you’ll be done by 10. Would drive to WP? If so, you’d be there by 10:30 and they open at 10.

I’ve also arrived to waterparks well after open and had a great day.
