I’m glad you had GREAT cocoa! I hope you do again. I’ll try again this year and hope for the best ![]()
I remember it being ok. I didn’t expect much, but I had it at more than one stop. I liked it better than the cider.
The cookies were sad though. I get the theming. I wish they’d do the ice cream like the After Hours. Or popcorn.
I’m doing my party touring plan right now…would love anyone’s thoughts on the below questions.
Is it feasible to find a position to watch Reindeer Wrangle at 8.05pm and still be in a decent position to watch the 8.30pm parade from Frontierland? I’ve always watched the 2pm parade from outside the Hall of Presidents, which I love, but if I try to squeeze in Reindeer, I may have to pivot. If not, is outside Hall of Presidents still a good location?
Fireworks. They are at 10pm. I loathe camping out for FW’s, it’s my least favorite thing to do - i.e. trying to protect a square of space from a swarm of humanity. Also, it never seems to work out. So…any suggestions for late arriving folks? I don’t have to experience snoap and am flexible on the castle projections, but could use some ideas.
I plan on catching the 11.55pm stage show so we can maximize ride time between the end of the 10pm FWs and the last stage show. We will focus almost exclusively on 7DMT, Tron and Space. Touring plans projects pretty low waits (ie. 10 minute waits) between 10.30pm-11.45pm. Has anyone experienced this as true?
Tron was more like 30 min and Space was like 20-30. But maybe they know better than me the average.
I believe they are by Diamond Horseshoe. You should be in a good position to watch the parade.
It only snoaps on Main Street. I usually shoot for standing at the Christmas Tree for the parade, but that requires a bit of camping out to get that spot. If they continue having Powerline Max for pre-parade, that’s only on main St as well.
Sadly, for the last Christmas party we were at, we never once got to see it snoap on Main Street. Hopefully we manage to experience it next time. (Of course, where we live, snow is nothing special…but snoap? That’s special!)
Exactly. It not cold and even better, no shovelling required
This feels much accurate than what you’re getting in TP for a past Christmas Party day Notice Tron never goes under 42 minutes and Space is 13-26 in the late evening and 7DMT is 23-34:
Might I suggest you see an earlier stage show and the rides after when the lines get shorter. I’d jump in Tron right before close so even if you’re waiting 45 minutes you’re doing it after the park is officialy closed. For 7DMT and Tron what I’ve also done in the past is buy the LLSP during the early entry period 4-6pm. Then it’s only Space with it’s holiday layover you’re riding during the actual party. If you can get in a 2nd ride on one of them during the party bonus and you get the after dark ride too.
I originally had me buying llsp’s but when I saw the projected low waits I removed them from the plan. I’ll put them back in -
I also played around with the show times, but I couldn’t figure out how to watch the show earlier without being jammed up with folks jostling for FW’s position.
I’m honestly dreading trying to figure out a spot to watch the FW’s. I’ve always been Lucky for parades and showed up at a pre planned spot and had great viewing in comfortable spots!
I’ve never really successfully gotten a decent FW’s spot that didn’t feel overwhelming. We showed up super early for Halloween FW’s at DLR one year and all I could think of was ‘get me out of here.’ We had a stroller then, and when the FW’s started every dad on Main Street hoisted their kids on their shoulders essentially obstructing views.
I’m honestly a good candidate for a dessert party but I just don’t love theme park FW’s enough to warrant the money.
I always buy it simply for the space because I also panic from crowds. But…..I love MK fireworks. They are the best in the world of all Disney parks. Tokyo Disney has the best parades and Magic Kingdom has the best fireworks.
What I did 2023 for both MVMCP and MNSSHP
Bought the dessert party. Showed up at checkin time-ish and got our bands and a cookie and a drink and bailed. Rode some stuff. Came back 15 minutes before fireworks and went into the blocked off area and grabbed a nice empty spot in the back and watched the fireworks. Then I jostled up stream at the christmas party right in front of the castle right on the curb and sat my butt down for the parade and had front row viewing. Then I turned around and moved in half way towards the castle and caught the stage show. I focused on riding all the rides b/w 4pm and before fireworks. I don’t do character meet and greets though. And at Christmas party the last stage show must have not taken us to close cuz DH and I had time to hustle over to Tron and we jumped in line and waited what I think was 30 minutes but maybe it was 40 minutes. I could go find my Trip Report and be sure. That worked perfect for us.
This was 100000 times better with the overlay! We ended up doing it 3 times because it’s that good!
