What is the Florida state bird?

I ask because if it is the mosquito, then will I need bug repellent?

It is except for the bubble. Disney works it’s magic to keep them out. http://mentalfloss.com/article/548281/reason-why-there-are-no-mosquitoes-in-disney-world

I know… Zoologists sometimes just can’t restrain themselves… But I didn’t totally geek out and give you the Latin name…

I appreciate the tremendous restraint you have shown in drawing the line where you did.

I had to Google that to make sure you weren’t pulling a fast one on us. I wouldn’t have expected the “Northern” Mockingbird to be south of the Mason-Dixon line. It is also the state bird of Arkansas, Mississippi, Tennessee, and Texas. Go figure…

That is brilliant and fascinating! Thank you! One less thing I have to pick up.

And here I figured it was the snowbird.

I’ve certainly spotted a lot more Northern Snowbirds than I have Northern Mockingbirds…
