Frozen happened. It closed right about the time the sisters blew into the stratosphere to make way for something updated.
It closed late 2014, and will reopen as a Frozen themed ride, probably in 2016.
Yes, it was an attraction when the book came out but then the announcement and closure came rather quickly.
