Went to MVMCP last night

The crowd did NOT feel oppressive at all.
Is there anyway to know how full it was, or was not?

We 4/5 of the special rides (had done Jingle Cruise before party). Saw MMMC, Fireworks, Tomorrowland concert and parade without a wait. Just walked up before each started and had room. No staking spots needed.

Treat lines were fine.

Only sad thing was after watching parade from in front of Diamond Horseshoe we booked to 7DMT for 20 min wait and it went down. :rage:
Did PP in less than 10 even after the larger group that baled 7D went to PP.

Happy to answer any questions if I can.

It was drizzling from maybe 8-10PM. Maybe that affected crowds? But it was warm rain.

Did you do any of the character meet and greets? Hoping next Tuesday is also very light day for the party.

DD15 mer Jack Skellington.
She queued at 5:50PM and she was walking up to join us at 6:50PM.
She said the line moved in chunks and it was a festive queue.

We also met Mary Poppins and Bert in just a few minutes.

We could have met Genie without a wait just before 11PM parade but DD6 had to go potty.

We saw Aurora and Snow White with mild lines at 9:30 PM near Pinocchio. My girls don’t care about princes :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

I don’t know about Dwsrves.

Pooh has steady but manageable lines when we passed at 9:30. That’s probably my DD15 only regret.

How key are the projections for the FW? How far in advance did you line up?

We RAN from Monster Inc with minutes to spare for fireworks. The projections were beautiful, but almost completely unrelated to fireworks. They’d change and shift with the music, but we watched from Just about where I tried to draw this circle with my fat thumb. We were on the edge of the curb. I’d say a tree obscured 5% of what I could see in the air.

Did I address the question right?

We went to MVMCP the first night last week and, even with the rain, it was CRAZY busy. We’ve been to Halloween and Christmas 2 times each and only once did I feel the crowds were at a ā€œcomfortableā€ level. Like all things Disney-related, I’m sure it has something to do with what day you go. But, I think we’re done with the holiday parties…at least until they do something drastic to shake it up.

Do the ride overlays start after 7pm, the party’s official start time?

Thank you!

Yes.
We rode Speedway at 6:00PM Tuesday and it wasn’t lit up (had hoped for a sneak preview).

I wish there was a way to know what our crowd level was. It was very doable. Very comfortable. Second Thursday party.

Thank you! I was wondering when they turned on the lights.

So it was an hour wait to meet Jack? That doesn’t surprise me too much since he is undoubtedly one of the stars of the night. But an hour for a meet and greet seems like such a waste of time to me, especially when paying a premium for short waits and entertainment! But then I’ve never liked meet and greets, I only tolerate them for my kids if they insist.

It was a calculated decision for her. She went alone. The other six of us went to BTMRR and had to wait for DD13 to change. Then we visited three snack stations. We took one photo pass picture. She really missed nothing. The rest of us moved slowly. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

She did her waiting in that 6p-7p zone. I think it was better than it could have been.

Anyone know if you can use your Dining plan for some of the special party treats or for the turkey sandwich?
