Weird things keep happening

We just wrapped up day 2 of our short “Soarin’ Across America” trip. But a few weird things happened.

First up…I am getting the annual pass discount…without an annual pass. There are two ways to show whether you qualify for discounts at Disney (at least). One, you use the MDE app, go to profile, and then where it shows memberships and discounts. There, it says I am a DVC member (but doesn’t show that I am only resale and don’t qualify for DVC discounts). If I show that they give me the DVC discount. The other way is to use your Google wallet, where your WDW ticket is, and then expand the dots. There, it shows correctly that I don’t get DVC discounts, but it shows I have an annual pass! I don’t. In either case, I end up with a discount! Not complaining, but it is weird that it shows me having an annual pass when I do not!

Second, we decided to pay for LLMP for today to ensure we had short waits for Remy and Soarin’. But I also booked LWTL. LWTL went down during the booking window, so it converted over to an anytime pass. I got notifications about it and it showed up in MDE, but a little while later when I wanted to use it, it was gone. So…what happened? Who knows. It was not a big deal. But…weird.

Third, I placed a Mobile order for Regal Eagle, but selected the wrong window. But no matter how many tries, every time I tried to modify the arrival window, it would let me select a time, but then would just error out. I just let the window pass and eventually the mobile order cancelled itself. (Turned out to be unneeded. I just ordered at a window and had no wait.)

Did you ever have an AP? You know the glitch where you can mobile order or do your own merchandise discount and get the DVC discount? For APs there is a glitch that if you ever had an AP it shows on your magic mobile ticket.

It must be hard for CMs since they are supposed to check MDE for AP but magic mobile for DVC.

Yeah, last time I had an AP was I think 6 years ago? Or close to that.

Didn’t realize it was a known glitch.

Look in the Plans tab for the anytime pass, if you didn’t already. It’s not where you expect it to be, for sure. Always throws me off. You can also see it in BG1 in the Plans.
