WDW Value Resort for Independent Older Teens

Agreed. AoA LM rooms would be quite a stroll and not worth it in this situation. Even Pop may not be if the Skyliner isn’t a big draw. But Music is the only value resort that I will not do without a preferred location.

Okay - hopefully last question before I book tonight. How does ASSports compare to ASMusic and ASMovies? I skipped it in my initial comparison because I thought it was the least preferable of the three, but a preferred room at ASSports is just marginally more than a standard at ASMusic.
I’m going to book tonight so that I have locked the lowest cost option and then I’ll watch for any screaming deals to emerge along the way  Thanks for all the guidance!

I actually prefer Sports to the other two (and I don’t really like many sports to be honest, so it’s not due to the theming). It’s the smallest of the values, it’s easy to get around. Music is gigantic and I dislike the layout very much. Sports is the closest to the parks so less time travelling. It’s also usually the cheapest. I would only choose Music if you guys want the suites which are great for older teens. You would get your own bedroom and bathroom, they would each get their own queen bed and share a bathroom. But if you want to save money and stay in a regular room, I’d choose Sports. Movies is a better theme, but not worth the extra cost and travel time to me.

I agree with @Wahoohokie. Either go with ASSports for the cheapest option, or do Pop if you really want the fun and convenience of the Skyliner.

I agree with the consensus that the rooms and theming are all roughly equivalent and safety is not a concern at any of them.

I’ve only been one time to each All Star, but sports was my favorite, then Movies, then Music. And I had preferred in Music AND was upgraded to a family suite. But the layout was more daunting.

So I agree with @Wahoohokie & @Jeff_AZ

I’m over twice their age so my personal experience is to eliminate AOA - it is a considerable walk from the Mermaid rooms, but they are young, so maybe that is not a factor. Have they ridden the Skyliner before? If not, my choice would be Pop. If they already have, then All Star Movies standard because of the best price. Whatever you decide, it will be an awesome experience for them.

One thing about All Stars over Pop, you KNOW to use the bus every time. None of the uncertainty of the Skyliner (heading for one only to have to go to the other).

So very true. When we stayed at Pop, Skyliner was…finnicky.

It is worth mentioning that you can ride the Skyliner anytime during your trip no matter where you stay. Either outside HS or the Epcot International gateway you can hop on the Skyliner just to experience it or even to check out resorts or whatever. The Skyliner had little to no wait during midday, so a great time to hop on for a little break.

I actually like the Surfs Up area at Sports. The rest of the theming doesn’t appeal to me though.
