WDW hotels automatically checking people out?

That’s so early! I didn’t know house keeping started that early.

Oh I for sure have gotten the 8am door knock. For a brief time I was putting a note on the door that last night that we would be occupying the room until XXXX and please do not knock or disturb. More recently though I haven’t experienced the early morning door knock and had hoped it was eliminated by this new process on the MDE

OK that is 100% unacceptable and I would report that to the resort manager. If they came once and you told them when you’d be there until but they came back again before you planned to vacate, that’s not okay

All I said was an angry, “excuse me!!” the first time, and they quickly closed the door. They didn’t even see me. They might have been able to see my sleeping children though.

This was All Star Sports.

I don’t think I should have to say “ we’re planning to stay here until…”

I’m here. I’m using the room. They already checked once - at an unreasonably early time.

You shouldn’t. I agree.

I understood that the updates to MDE were intended to avoid this :frowning:

Did you also use the other lock thing, which limits how far a door opens if someone unlocks it? I always use the deadbolt and that other limiter thing.

After the first check, I got a push notification asking if I was ready to check out. But when I tapped on it, it just said “loading” forever. I never got to see if it was even a real question. I waited a very long time to let it load, and the internet was strong in that room.

The push notification reads “Tap here to check out on the app when you leave your room. No need to visit the front desk.” Maybe that’s why they came back?

I took a screen shot of it today so I would know the exact wording. One of my F&F is there and I got the check out notification on my phone today at 8:27 AM. I’m not on her reservation so I’m not sure why the push notification came to my phone.

Me, too. I travel solo a lot and I lock everything that can be locked whenever I’m in the room.

That is absolutely ridicilous :rage:

I should have complained before we left.
