OK so as DH was removing our old dead water softener and installing a new one yesterday we started talking about the water hardness (we are in TX and have very hard water) here compared to other places. From what people have said, I think Orlando has very hard water as well…BUT for some reason I recall noticing benefits to my hair while on our Disney trips, specifically last year when our water softener was out of commission and we did not have the benefits of soft water here at home at at the time - as in it stays cleaner longer, blow dries easier etc…just looks better. Maybe it’s magic pixie dust, lol. 
Just wondering if anyone knew if Disney does soften the water at resorts…
Based on the smell/taste of the DIS water I doubt it’s softened, or at least not very well. I’d guess your hair may have benefited more from the Florida humidity than the water. But that’s a SWAG…
Yes the water definitely has it’s own “scent” lol. We noticed that our very first trip to Disney!! Who knows…maybe it’s the pixie dust effect LOL.
