Hi all. Is it feasible to visit Volcano Bay in the late afternoon? I’m wondering if there’s a time where the crowds decrease. The plan would be to arrive early in a different park, relax for a while mid day, then conclude with VB.
Hi! Welcome!
VB is my favorite water park and I prioritize it on all my trips!
It does close around 5pm most days though. I don’t know what you mean by “late afternoon” though?
IME - The park doesn’t lose attendance until after 3pm. However, that’s only a couple hours before close.
In busy times, like July, the “Taputapu” virtual queue system my have already distributed all the reservations for the most popular attractions like Krakatu water coaster.
If you have more questions please feel free to ask!
Thanks for your speedy response! I assume you meant to write that it doesn’t become less busy until about 3:00 p.m. That may still be useful.
It depends what you want to do there and whether you’re going more than once. We had park-to-park tickets and visited VB several times, both early entry and later in the day. Early entry we were able to do Aqua coaster twice, once immediately and then again with tapu tapu. In just 2-3 hours we did quite a lot and that was enough. In the evening we were happy with an hour or two, but aqua coaster was no longer an option; there was plenty else to do though. This was August.
Thanks. Very interesting.
