We are going on 9/10. And someone said that Ron will no longer have a virtual queue. Can anyone confirm if true
Welcome!
Yes, this is true. This is what Disney’s own site says:
“A virtual queue is in place for TRON Lightcycle / Run through September 08, 2024. Beginning September 09, 2024, a standby queue will be available.”
I can confirm that this is true. You will still, also, be able to use the Lighting Lane if you want to buy the Pass
Thanks
That’s going to suck
There’s always LLSP and/or rope drop or end of night standby
Positives and negatives.
One problem that VQs caused was that it meant you couldn’t be in control of your own destiny, so to speak, in terms of when you wanted to ride. You were at the whim of your ability to get a boarding group for when you hoped to ride. Last March, I got a VQ for Tron, and hoped to get a mid to late morning. I “guessed” and tried to wait about 1 second or so after the VQ opened. Our BG was called around 11 am. But that was ENTIRELY luck.
With a standby line, you can get in line when you want. If you don’t want to wait, you get a LLSP.
It is possible initial standby lines will be long…but I don’t think it will take long for them to even out into something manageable. (It seems people like to rush to things when they are shiny and new…including when you change how you can wait for them!)
As with all changes, it is a “we’ll see” situation.
Is this for the new Ron’s Gone Wrong meet and greet?
Thank you very much for your information and the time to reply. Many thanks
For the record, I appreciated this joke.
