Upgrading a Park Ticket to an Annual Pass - What if there's a refund?

I’m looking at upgrading park tickets to a Florida resident annual pass, buying tickets with credit card points and then upgrading them to the annual pass. I’m only looking at the weekday pass, so it’s possible I can buy tickets that are more expensive than the pass and upgrade to the pass.

Anyone have any experience with what happens with any overage? Any guesses?

I’m not sure about the refund.

I know when i was researching, i found information that said you couldn’t downgrade for a refund.

Just remember the blackout dates on that pass.
