Unofficial - Virtual Queue for SW:GE

Yes. Once the land hits capacity they will start the virtual queue (boarding groups). Once you are in the land you still need to go wait in line at the ride(s).

Reservations for Oga’s, Savi’s, and Droid Depot will get you into the land without the boarding group, but only within a certain time before the reservation.

Hmmm…all of our reservations for Savi’s Workshop and Droid Depot are in the afternoon so maybe we get in and try to hop in line then. Would that mean that, in theory, the lines for Smuggler’s Run are all the same amount of wait time throughout the day? So going early in the morning doesn’t necessarily mean you get on first and wait less.

When you tap in to enter the park, MDE then knows you’re there.

When you get there, you either physically go and find out if GE is at capacity, or you use the app. And if it is full, you’ll be directed to the virtual queue, where you book it, including everyone in your party. You get told what boarding group you’re in, and what group is boarding now. And you’ll get an alert when you can enter. There’s a two hour window that you can turn up within. Meanwhile you do whatever else you want to do.

Once there, then yes there may well be a queue for the ride.

Or you can try booking either Oga’s Cantina (bar), the Droid workshop and/or Savi’s workshop. Those reservations are open now up until the end of the year, I think one or two people managed to book January. So that would guarantee you could get into the Land, but maybe not until say 30 minutes before, and only for those listed on a reservation. Which would be tough if you just booked Savi’s because only two people can go. So the whole family can’t get in on the back of that reservation.

It might be less wait because you are getting there before the land reaches capacity. How fast it reaches capacity is anyone’s guess.

Awesome. We have Savi’s Workshop for 2pm and Droid Depot for 3:30pm so that is a 2 hour span right there where we will have to be in the park. So that sounds like an option!!

One fool’s guess, they already have the system in place and running at DL. Looks like the same system is in place ready to go in Orlando. They also have the data for ticket sales and hotel reservations for the opening of SWGE and the dates that follow.

Maybe based on the available information they don’t see the need to implement virtual queue yet? Or they don’t want to scare away people like they did at DL? Or they don’t have a plan yet?

Okay, three guess from one fool.
