Universal’s TapuTapu name

I just have to see if anyone besides me wonders why the heck they called it “TapuTapu” and not just “Tapu”?
It really bothers me that you have to say the word twice!

Personally, I think the double name sounds more authentic. Most of those Hawaiiany-sounding names are multiple words. Just one word sounds too staccato. But this is coming from someone whose husband insisted we name our child “Lucas” instead of “Luke” because multi-syllable names sound “more distinguished”. So take that for what it’s worth!
