I’m almost done, but the clock is running out for today. I put a lot of time & thought into this, so I hope y’all like it!!
Wrap-Up Continued… I may break it up as it’s very long! Sorry!!
DLR and Touring Plans
Coincidently, this is relevant as I mentioned my issues in another person’s thread that Len has addressed. (Not tagging him here as I want to discuss my experience without any drama)
I cannot recommend anyone subscribe to the DLR Lines App. The predicted wait times and LLMP / LLSP availability are completely inaccurate consistently. By the end of the first day of my trip I realized all the work and time I’d put into making these plans was worthless.
Not only were the waits wrong, but so was the availability of rides and shows. There were multiple occasions when TP thought a show would be operating when it wasn’t. It said rides would be operating that were on refurbishment.
TP had the incorrect operating hours for the parks right up about 14 days before my trip. I realize they can only update when DLR publishes their operating hours. However, I wish their historical data were better utilized to predict the next year. I was able to do this on my own by looking at what hours DLR had when it had Star Wars in 2024 for that same week. My prediction was correct about 30 days before TP updated the hours / six weeks before my trip. It would take someone only a day or two to do this for the entire calendar and make more consistent updates.
I’ve said it for years and I should’ve reminded myself, “Touring Plans focuses 90% of it’s efforts on WDW. DLR and UOR split the other 10% and it shows.”
Many of you reminded me that my DLR TPs should become “checklists” due to how inaccurate / unreliable they are known to be.
All of you reading this TR are the TRUE reason anyone should use TP for either DLR or UOR. We are the best resource for trip planning for these parks. The advice and planning help I got from many of you is the reason my days went well! Thank you!!

Car Rental - Anaheim to LAX
There are a couple locations right around the corner from DLR that will rent you a car! I’m not going to go into great detail as all this was very routine. The only “issue” is that as of now, May 2025, the car rental drop off at LAX is being refurbished. You have to take the car to a very easy to find location and they will shuttle you to LAX. (Even at 3am!!)
I did not have a good experience with Alamo. It wasn’t the worst either. I can’t recommend and I won’t use again. I did get a “deal” for $59 car rental + insurance & fuel refill etc… I paid $99 in total after all the fees and add-ons. I typically use Budget, and it would’ve been about $20 more. In hindsight, that $20 would have been well-spent for the few minor headaches I encountered.
