Good morning!
It’s been more than five years of planning, cancelling and rescheduling my “Once in a Lifetime” trip to Disneyland!
Here’s the itinerary:
Monday - Arrive around Noon and DL all day
Tuesday - DCA
Wednesday - DL
Thursday - Hopping
Friday - Knott’s Berry Farm and Trader Sam’s
Sat. - Universal Hollywood and Fan Fest Nights
I saved up about $1500 in Disney Visa points and have cashed in every penny!
Furthermore, a lot of you know that I have been hanging around these forums for a ar least a decade. I was once one of the biggest “fanatics” of all things Disney.
After the pandemic I stepped out of the bubble and found a whole world of great theme parks (and even a Universe! )
A lot of my Disney fandom got spread out to Universal. However, as much as I complained about all the operational changes WDW made over the last five years I couldn’t stay away.
I’ve been to multiple after hours events and was even gifted with visiting all four Club 33 locations at WDW. However, I still haven’t had to deal with actually using LLMP. (I have bought a couple LLSP)
So, since this isn’t an after hours event and I don’t have VIP access this trip it will be my first “real” time having to use LLMP at Disney.
I try to make my TRs more about doing research for others. I don’t know how much I can add to any Disneyland knowledge, but maybe I will see something from a first time visitors POV. I do plan on make “travel guides” for Knott’s and USH as there’s so little on TP about them.
Some personal “goals” are to compare WDW vs. DLR. (Do “east coasters” really need to go west?)
Where is the best churro in California?
How does a Universal after hours event compare to WDW / DLR. I’ve been to multiple WDW “parties/event nights” (I haven’t got a SW night ticket, but may go last minute!)
I’m sure I have more things I want to “research”. I just don’t want my TR to just be a, “I ate this. I rode that.” FOMO style journey.
If anyone wants to know anything for an upcoming trip to any of these three parks just ask! I love doing"on the ground" research!
I’m at the airport and my flight leave in about 45 minutes.
I did TSA Precheck for the first time. It only took 6 minutes. It’s so worth it to not have to yake off your shoes, belt and etc…
I did encounter a horribly rude TSA agent. I bit my tongue and just kept moving! Not going to miss my flight just to tell off a a TSA agent!!
Oh! For those that don’t know I got injured last year and have had issues with mobility. I got better recently, but “tweaked” it about 10 days ago. I have been nursing it and taking so many medications! I didn’t have any issues for the last two days. Hopefully, it’s ready for the 15 - 20 miles I am about to walk for the next 6 days!!
I leave in about 30 minutes!
