Have a work trip in early April in Orlando and was possibly going to bring the family down for a mini-vacation after my conference is over.
Historically has Typhoon Lagoon been open the first week of and/or during early April and other than the Disney website is their a way to track in advance if and when it would be open (assuming that it still shutdowns over the winter for it’s annual refurbishment). I can’t remember if it has been open in April in previous years.
We were in WDW this year during the last week of April and Typhoon Lagoon was not open. I was bummed! We have only been able to catch it during the “summer” months.
For WDW news, I keep an eye on wdwmagic.com . They have a search feature, so if you search for Typhoon Lagoon and select “news” (as opposed to photos or reviews), you can work backwards to see when it was open or closed.
This year and last, both waterparks were open at the same time, during the summer. After Covid, only one had been open at a time, until summer 2025. Now they close one at a time during fall to late spring, switching waterparks mid-winter. Last year, BB closed for the fall shift, TL closed during the spring half. This year, TL closes Sept 9 for the fall months, and I assume BB will close for the late-winter/spring months.
