Trip report J183

Things are going from bad to worse. Some insane people have broken in and are causing chaos. A large mob followed behind and a couple of women held a big rope — I hope they catch them and get them OUT.

Yea I get that and don’t have a problem with it but because it’s something we don’t automatically do in the UK it’s gonna take some getting used to and initially when we bought into the DDP I didn’t realise I needed to budget for tips … if I hadn’t joined this forum I still wouldn’t know …

Well thank goodness for that! They rounded up the crazies and are escorting them off the premises. People are waving them away.

Never seen Reservoir Dogs? Also, I’m in the UK and everyone I know tips automatically. Not 20% but certainly 10%. Now tipping mousekeeping, that’s unusual.

They don’t mind that you put dashes instead of decimal points?

Ah, thank you. I thought that was some of that new “maths” the kids are learning these days. No idea what all that meant.

It looks like he’s letting the server decide whether to take a $7 tip, a $20 tip, or anything in between.

I thought the same thing when I first saw it!

That’s exactly what I was thinking. Wow, that’s very nice of him!

I’d choose the $20 tip any day!

You can meet Mary Poppins in Epcot in the UK if you miss her at 1900PF.

I know, we don’t really do character meets but I really really want to meet her so I might have to! But I also really want the breakfast so hopefully it will fit with the plans.

Last trip to Disney, we rode the carousel at MK with Mary Poppins and Burt. My wife was SO excited.

We don’t usually do them either, but we sort of happened upon it at the right time and my DSs were all over meeting her so we went with it.

Mary Poppins is also frequently meeting outside the GF for runners during the WDW half marathon in January.

Just thought I’d throw another option out there.

That is so cool! Are they regularly there?

No idea. I think we just lucked out.

your kids can get “kid” food from Kona next door. We ate at ohana with super picky eaters and they brought them mac n cheese, chicken tenders and fries. I plan on asking for the same thing when we go back in October
