I was in AK on Thursday Oct 2 and there were many construction walls in the area of the Tree, so I asked a CM if we could still get to the Tree’s base. She pointed the way (with a smile, of course) and we were able to view the detailed carvings “up close and personal”. So glad I asked because the area appeared to be closed. We saw kids greeting Pochachantas and chatted with her CM handler for a minute. The kids seemed to be in awe of the whole experience. Fun!
