Just wanted to chime in and say the Wild Africa Trek is expensive, but totally worth it. The food is good and you get to milk opportunities that don’t come across other safari guests. I don’t want to spoil too much for you, but for instance, we got to get up close to the giraffes and our tour guides got snapshots of us with them too. Also forgot to mention that after the trek, you’ll get a voucher where you can download pictures of you and your family. I did it because of the Unofficial Guide’s recommendation and we are so glad we did it.
I did it on my last trip and I completely agree. For animal lovers it’s about as good as it gets. I was addicted to the “jungle juice”; when I left, I filled up my water bottle with it for touring. Side note - it’s also very good with a shot of rum in it…
