I haven’t been up there and I think I want to try to hit it for my September trip. Anyone have some insights into how crowded it gets? I see check in is at 6, should we plan to arrive much earlier?

Are you meaning a drop in on a non special event night?
I think we joined the line at 5:30 , and that was in the Christmas - New Year week. There only a couple of groups ahead of us.
Yes, just drop in.
We had no trouble dropping in twice on our last trip. I will say the drinks there were my least favorite. Small selection and honestly they just were not good IMO unless you like really sweet drinks.
