Too cramped? We’ll be ok right?

Decided to take my kids on a last minute trip the last week of our Christmas break - 1/1-1/8. As DVC folks we normally stay in villas and are accustomed to a little bit of elbow room but all I’ve been able to grab is a room in the main tower at CR. We’ve never stayed there and I remember reading that those rooms can be tight.

Can anyone lend a positive experience or practical advice for 5 folks staying in one of these rooms? I keep checking for last minute room openings but I’m not optimistic that’ll happen.

Traveling party is myself and my kids (DDs 14, 10 and 8 and DS12). They are fine bed sharing.

I assume you won’t be in the room that much, so you’ll be fine. Sharing the bathroom will be tight, but I imagine they will be happy to be at Disney and find a way to manage. I stayed there with my younger two and we really enjoyed taking advantage of the resort activities, which can help you stay out of the room and off each other’s nerves. My only complaint was that the family next door fought a LOT and I could hear their word-for-word argument through the door.

I agree with you. I don’t think we’ll be in the room too terribly much aside from down time.

And that’s awkward for you guys with the fighting family. Last summer when we stayed at RR I was on our balcony one morning trying to enjoy my coffee and the kids next doors were out on theirs just name calling and arguing away. Although that one was more humorous than sad fighting. Lol.
